Thesis Skins, Markup Schema, and SEO Domination

Thesis Skins from DIYthemes are the most optimized website frameworks available today.

Nobody else offers Skins, themes, or child themes that score as well on Google Page Speed, rank as well in search engines, or boast such a small footprint in terms of both file size and number of HTTP requests per page.

In short, Thesis Skins not only make your site fast, but they also set you up to dominate the search engines by taking advantage of the latest technology.

For example…

Markup Schema

When the major search engines collaborate and issue a new specification like markup schema, you listen.

Here at DIYthemes, we compromise NOTHING when it comes to search engine rankings, and that’s why we’ve added full markup schema support to Thesis 2.

Every Skin we offer comes equipped with Article markup schema, but you can choose from 3 other schema by default:

  • Review
  • Recipe
  • Creative Work

And those are the just the default markup schema included in Thesis. Our schema system is fully extensible, so in the event that Thesis doesn’t ship with your preferred schema, you can easily add your own at any time.

I LOVE this markup schema! What a fantastic way to make your site look nicer, without having to pay for a graphic designer. Thanks so much.

Yep I agree with Angel…Not only does this eliminate the need for a graphic designer, it give you instant control…So it will save me not only money but time.

Which is more valuable Time or Money…Which one would you pick?

Awesome Theme i have ever seen, lots of people recommend to buy this theme, i am really interested to buy this theme, but i am freaked when i saw the the functions and settings of this theme, seems it would take me more than a month to understand the theme completely.

Vivek, the Thesis options have been designed to be extremely simple; this way, they are accessible to people of all skill levels.

While other WordPress themes require you to wade through cryptic template files to make basic changes, Thesis provides you with easy options and a point-and-click way to customize your site.

Check out this video of the design options, and when you’re done with that, have a look at the content controls that allow you to control the display of certain items in your design.

I think you’ll agree that it doesn’t get any easier—or more powerful—than this!

On the Classic Responsive Skin, can an image be used rather than Text Title and Text Tagline?

        • Chris Pearson May 20, 2014, 10:34 am

Yes, absolutely—the Classic Responsive Skin lets you choose a header image to use in place of your title and tagline if you so desire.

Markup schema aiding the design of a site??? Since when?

    • Chris Pearson April 30, 2014, 12:09 pm

Mike, I never said schema aided in the design of a site. As you probably know, schema is metadata that is generally used by search engines and other crawlers to obtain information about a site, and neither of those things has anything to do with a design aesthetic.

Sorry, Chris, I was replying to Angela (she implied a connection between schema and design).

I am trying to find out how to make my site responsive. Will this new theme do that if I apply it to my existing blog?

    • Chris Pearson December 29, 2014, 9:27 am

Lisa, yes indeed—all of our Thesis Skins are responsive and will look fantastic on all devices.
