How to Manually Install Thesis

  1. Download the current Thesis version.

    Note for Safari Users: This browser may add an extra .html extension to the end of the download file name; if so, just rename the file to remove the extra extension, leaving its name as simply thesis.zip.

  2. Extract the .zip file on your computer; you should then have a folder named /thesis.
  3. Login to your server via FTP.
  4. Locate the /wp-content/themes/ folder for your WordPress installation on the server, then expand it.
  5. Upload the /thesis folder on your computer to the /wp-content/themes/ folder on your server.
  6. In your WordPress Dashboard, go to Appearance → Themes, and activate Thesis.
