Hi,

I have a couple issues I haven't been able to figure out. Any help with the following is greatly appreciated!

1. My site looks great on my 21.5" iMac monitor. Because it is responsive, it displays differently on my iPad. I would like to add custom code so that it displays in the exact same arrangement on my iPad (landscape display 2048 x 1344) and all screen sizes in between as it does full size on my iMac, just scaled down to fit.

There are two main problems
• some items in the nav bar get bumped down to a second line. I would like them to all stay on the same line aligned horizontally and just shrink to fit.
• one of the 3 boxes along the bottom of the site is getting bumped down to a second line. Same as the nav bar, I would like these 3 boxes to stay aligned horizontally and shrink to fit (including the content they contain).

2. The images in my blog posts don't resize responsively.

I know 2.0 is responsive but I would rather fix these problems and continue to use 1.85 until the bugs are sorted out.

Thanks so much,
Alisa

Hi Alex, thanks for sharing this!

I have one slight issue. After installing on a fresh copy of WP and Thesis 1.8.5, I get this error in the footer –

Warning: call_user_func_array() expects parameter 1 to be a valid callback, function ‘copyright’ not found or invalid function name in /public_html/beta/wp-includes/plugin.php on line 403.

Anyone know what to do about this?

thanks.

I am no coder. With the guidance of Rick Anderson I have built two websites with Thesis and have began work on two more. Site appearance is important to me and my Google tell me that I had better start paying attention to mobil (like yesterday).
Anyhow, after reading about The Responsive Skin + Child Theme Starter Set for Thesis I am still not certain about it and what to do since I am not ready to be tinkering with code. Should I hire someone to help with this? I hate to hand off my site development to another person since my site is my own creation (minus the logo work I paid a graphic artist to do).

One note: the only thing not responsive is the custom header that I used on the site. Sounds like others have the same issue. Will look but hopefully someone has an easy fix.

I have a test site that I installed the responsive skin and it works great, but my the embedded YouTube video isn't playing on my friends android phone? She says it just shows up as a black box and there is no way to play it. Has anyone else has this issue?

And on my new android phone, the video shows up, and it plays, but it doesn't appear to be responsive. It's not resizing. Everything else is though. My test site is ThesisRules.com

Please advise.

Thanks!

So after installing it totally broke my thesis 1.8.5 installation with a database query error. I noticed that it was trying to call something from the thesis18_4 directory.

So I changed the name of the thesis18_5 dir to thesis18_4 (what it was trying to find) and that fixed it. I suppose I can go into custom functions and change it that way too.

Forewarned. During future upgrades this may happen depending on whether or not the directory name is changed.
