As a visual reference to ensuring that Thesis’ file structure is maintained when installing Thesis to your WordPress installation, we offer the following listing of every Thesis file and where it should appear relative to the primary
thesis/ folder. This may also be used as a reference to find a certain file; if someone says to find
launch.php, for instance, you can use this listing to determine where it exactly is.
Also note that your
thesis directory will be named
thesis_17 or similar depending on the version installed; if so, please take that into account in the following list, which assumes
thesis/ for the sake of brevity. Also note that per the installation instructions, your
custom-sample directory should have been renamed to
custom; we list the former here.
A common installation problem is to have Thesis installed too deeply, nested within itself somehow, for example:
wp-content/themes/thesis/thesis/. Note that there should only be one
thesis/ folder (placed directly in
wp-content/themes/, within which all of Thesis’ files reside.
