I tried to purchase the Developer’s Add-On (I have the standard Thesis license now), but got an error: “Thesis Theme Developer’s Option (add on)” can be ordered along with these products/subscriptions only: “Thesis Theme”. This happens both with and without the coupon code. Any way to fix this so I can take advantage of your coupon promotion and give you some money?
I have the same problem that Brian has. My developer is using Thesis Theme and we want to put it on multiple sites. I agreed to get the upgrade using your great coupon. But I got the same error message that Brian states. How can I get the upgrade? By the way, we really like Thesis.
Matilda – I was able to successfully get the upgrade by logging in on the DIYthemes website and going to Account Home in the top menu. You’re only presented with the one option to upgrade, check it, enter the coupon code and it works fine. I too agree Thesis is awesome. Keep up the incredible work, Chris!
I’m trying to order the dev add-on, too, but I can’t remember my username/password. I’ve sent for them, but they aren’t coming! I hope it comes before the 150 are sold out….

I think Chris’ plan is to release Thesis 1.4 sometime before the New Year… maybe as a Christmas surprise.

Could you clarify a basic question I have, please? I’m not completely clear on whether Thesis is a *theme* or some sort of tool set that can be used for themes (and if so: *any* theme, or just some themes, or just Thesis itself?). Case in point: I am wanting to use Chris’ Neoclassical Theme but would like to have the tweakability power that Thesis provides if possible. Does Thesis work with the Neoclassical Theme? If not, would I be able to create the Neoclassical Theme “look” with Thesis? And if I did so, would there be any advantage to doing that over just using the Neoclassical Theme in the first place?

To answer your question, Thesis is a theme; it’s stand-alone and doesn’t require any other theme to work, nor does it work with any other theme.
Thesis is the culmination of everything Chris learned through releasing his free themes — Neoclassical included.
Yes, you can get the Neoclassical look using Thesis; the Design Options panel allows you to select a sidebar-content-sidebar layout.
Advantages of Thesis over Neoclassical include much more advanced SEO, more fine-tuned typography, loads of out-of-the-box customization options, and a thriving support community.
Definitely Get Thesis!
Bought the Thesis, theme is really something special love it! I’m going to use it for my blog networks. By the way SEO is maybe the best out there but not that good that you don’t need to use some plugins …
Thanks I love this theme and I took advantage of the upgrade offer. I did the download to my computer. I am not sure what to do now. An FTP to the site that will overwrite the version there or can I just leave it be and use the new version for other sites. I’m proud of myself since I am no techie.
I can see a lot of benefits from customization through the hooks. What about instructional videos showing some simple applications through the Rotator box.
I love how easy it is to add the feedburner feed and the Google Analytics. It’s so simple you don’t think you have done anything.
I would like to see some simple options to Jazz up the header and make the RSS feed symbol larger.

There is no difference between the version of Thesis available with the Personal Option and with the Developer Option — the only difference is your right to use Thesis on one site or many.
Assuming your original site was already using the latest version of Thesis, you do not need to do anything on that site to account for the fact you now have the Personal License.

So – as you know I purchased the developer version fo Thesis last week. My card has been charged and you have the money – but I have no link or code or anything to get the theme. What is suppose to happen when I pay? I presume an email is sent with instructions?
