Question Customizing bullets?

Does anyone know how to modify the look and feel of bullets? By default, they are little black squares. I'm wondering if there's any other way to make them "pop" a bit more... like using drop shadows or something.

You'll want to add something like this to your custom.css file:

Code:
.format_text ul { list-style-image: url('image/bullet.gif'); }
Adjust the path and filename to fit the image you'd like to use for your bullets.

More info is available at W3Schools.com.

Default Bullets

Rick,

I pasted this into my CSS:

.format_text ul { list-style-image: url('images/bullet.jpg'); }

I uploaded the jpg file into the thesis image directory.

I did something wrong - it's not working.

Move your image over to /thesis/custom/images/

(But don't change anything in the CSS style.)

Default Customized image bullets are overlapping onto my image frames in post

How do you add extra padding around the frames for images or extra padding around customized images bullets?
My bullets (with a left aligned thumbnail at the start of a post) are overlapping on the frame. I need more space between end of image frame and start of bullet and text.

I used the following code in my css
Code:
.format_text ul { list-style-image: url('images/THQbullet.gif'); background-position: 0.5em; padding-left: 1.8em; }
Thanks

Have you tried .format_text ul li { margin-left: 1em; }

That'll add more space to the left of list items themselves.
