Default adding code for favicons?

I was at this site Animated Favicon Gif Generator - Create Animated Gif Favicon Ico Just 3 Steps reading about favicons, and it gave some html to be inserted between the head tags. How do I do this? Is it a hook? Even if it is, I don't know how to use those yet.

thanks for all help!

In the Thesis Options page, put it in the Header Scripts box.

Note that the code is irrelevant. Most compliant browsers will use your favicon if it is named favicon.ico and is at the root of your site (e.g., example.com/favicon.ico).

added this in the header script but doesn't seem to work
favicon.icon is in the root folder /images

<link rel="shortcut icon" href="/images/favicon.ico">

Favicon needs to be in root as KG notes in the message above, so /images/favicon.ico sounds like it makes sense, but you need it up in the root directory, where you would - if you have FTP - dump your WP php files during an install.

Hey Rick thanks for that note - I didn't realize modern browsers were just reading that file automatically. Learned something new
